Since I had failed to draw a crowd at the class break, I sat in my chair holding a “You Deserve Hell” sign while checking Facebook. Megan approached me asking, “Why do I deserve Hell?”
She understood my answer and she said, “I do need to get back to church.”
“That's good,” I answered. “But you also have to read the Bible, seek God in prayer, turn from all sin and trust in Jesus for forgiveness.”
Megan agreed adding that the Lord was once important in her life.
I responded, “But you came to college and boys started taking priority; Jesus became number two, three and four in your life until you were no longer relating to Him.”
Megan agreed
I urged, “You need to return to the Lord. Are you willing to do that?”
She answered in the affirmative.
“Are you willing to do that now?”
Once again Megan said yes.
“Could we pray together now, asking God to forgive your sins?”
“Yes,” she replied.
We both folded our hands, stood and prayed as I led her in a prayer of repentance towards God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. I gave her a final exhortation; Megan departed thanking me for talking to her.
"Week two went well for the Bible study! I have a group of about 15 that are really chasing after righteousness and it started with your visit!"

Brother Jed,
I'm sure with the lapse of time and the sheer volume of people that cross your path on a daily basis that you wouldn't remember an Ohio University photojournalism student who first encountered you on the College Green in the Spring of 1981. I on the other hand have never forgotten you. It's hard to put into words the profound impact the week you spent in Athens, Ohio every spring has had on my life. Your candor and honesty set me on a course of soul-searching for the truth that has not ceased. We're on the same team; John 14:6 is the measuring stick through which I gauge everyday life. I just wanted to thank you for being faithful to God's call on your life - the fields are indeed ripe for harvest. Keep plugging and run the race God has set before you. Hopefully, one day I will get to see you again
Sincerely,
Bob W
