he said, "Look how great Babylon is! I built it as my capital city to display my power and might, my glory and majesty."

After this I heard what sounded like the roar of a large crowd of people in heaven, saying, "Praise God! Salvation, glory, and power belong to our God!

Israel's majestic God does not lie or change his mind. He is not a human being---he does not change his mind."

Sing a new song to the LORD; he has done wonderful things! By his own power and holy strength he has won the victory.

The LORD says, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house, then, could you build for me, what kind of place for me to live in?

But you, LORD, are the true God, you are the living God and the eternal king. When you are angry, the world trembles; the nations cannot endure your anger.

The LORD made the earth by his power; by his wisdom he created the world and stretched out the heavens.

"By my great power and strength I created the world, human beings, and all the animals that live on the earth; and I give it to anyone I choose.

You will be driven away from human society, live with wild animals, and eat grass like an ox for seven years. Then you will acknowledge that the Supreme God has power over human kingdoms and that he can give them to anyone he chooses."

The following Levites gave a call to worship: Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah. They said: "Stand up and praise the LORD your God; praise him forever and ever! Let everyone praise his glorious name, although no human praise is great enough."

We praise you, LORD, for your great strength! We will sing and praise your power.

"Stop fighting," he says, "and know that I am God, supreme among the nations, supreme over the world."

The rulers of the nations assemble with the people of the God of Abraham. More powerful than all armies is he; he rules supreme.

A day is coming when human pride will be ended and human arrogance destroyed. Then the LORD alone will be exalted.

A day is coming when people will sing, "Give thanks to the LORD! Call for him to help you! Tell all the nations what he has done! Tell them how great he is!
