"The LORD is your mighty defender, perfect and just in all his ways; Your God is faithful and true; he does what is right and fair.

Everyone will praise his great and majestic name. Holy is he!

Mighty king, you love what is right; you have established justice in Israel; you have brought righteousness and fairness.

The LORD is righteous in all he does, merciful in all his acts.

In addition, I have also noticed that in this world you find wickedness where justice and right ought to be.

I told myself, "God is going to judge the righteous and the evil alike, because every thing, every action, will happen at its own set time."

Come and present your case in court; let the defendants consult one another. Who predicted long ago what would happen? Was it not I, the LORD, the God who saves his people? There is no other god.

Why do you make me see such trouble? How can you stand to look on such wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are all around me, and there is fighting and quarreling everywhere.

Rejoice, rejoice, people of Zion! Shout for joy, you people of Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you! He comes triumphant and victorious, but humble and riding on a donkey--- on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

You call him Father, when you pray to God, who judges all people by the same standard, according to what each one has done; so then, spend the rest of your lives here on earth in reverence for him.

The LORD has stopped your punishment; he has removed all your enemies. The LORD, the king of Israel, is with you; there is no reason now to be afraid.

The LORD your God is with you; his power gives you victory. The LORD will take delight in you, and in his love he will give you new life. He will sing and be joyful over you,

Keep your camp ritually clean, because the LORD your God is with you in your camp to protect you and to give you victory over your enemies. Do not do anything indecent that would cause the LORD to turn his back on you.

Let everyone who lives in Zion shout and sing! Israel's holy God is great, and he lives among his people."

The total length of the wall on all four sides of the city is 10,080 yards. The name of the city from now on will be "The- LORD -Is-Here!"

The city's rulers govern for bribes, the priests interpret the Law for pay, the prophets give their revelations for money---and they all claim that the LORD is with them. "No harm will come to us," they say. "The LORD is with us."

The LORD has promised that he himself will be a wall of fire around the city to protect it and that he will live there in all his glory."

Surely you won't kill the innocent with the guilty. That's impossible! You can't do that. If you did, the innocent would be punished along with the guilty. That is impossible. The judge of all the earth has to act justly."

God never twists justice; he never fails to do what is right.

Listen to me, you men who understand! Will Almighty God do what is wrong?

Are you condemning the righteous God? Do you think that he hates justice?

He does not take the side of rulers nor favor the rich over the poor, for he created everyone.

It will strike you again and again, morning after morning. You will have to bear it day and night. Each new message from God will bring new terror!

LORD, have mercy on us. We have put our hope in you. Protect us day by day and save us in times of trouble.

The Sovereign LORD has taught me what to say, so that I can strengthen the weary. Every morning he makes me eager to hear what he is going to teach me.

Fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise.

he will make your righteousness shine like the noonday sun.

He will not break off a bent reed nor put out a flickering lamp. He will bring lasting justice to all.

He will not lose hope or courage; he will establish justice on the earth. Distant lands eagerly wait for his teaching."

We have sinned against the LORD, so now we must endure his anger for a while. But in the end he will defend us and right the wrongs that have been done to us. He will bring us out to the light; we will live to see him save us.

Whatever is covered up will be uncovered, and every secret will be made known.

But you have a hard and stubborn heart, and so you are making your own punishment even greater on the Day when God's anger and righteous judgments will be revealed.

So you should not pass judgment on anyone before the right time comes. Final judgment must wait until the Lord comes; he will bring to light the dark secrets and expose the hidden purposes of people's minds. And then all will receive from God the praise they deserve.

That is why the rains were held back, and the spring showers did not come. You even look like a prostitute; you have no shame.

Were they ashamed because they did these disgusting things? No, they were not at all ashamed; they don't even know how to blush. And so they will fall as others have fallen; when I punish them, that will be the end of them. I, the LORD, have spoken."
