Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned toward him and said in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (This means "Teacher.")

But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life.

so that all will honor the Son in the same way as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

When Jesus heard what had happened, he found the man and asked him, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

Jesus said to him, "You have already seen him, and he is the one who is talking with you now."

The kingdom that God has given you will last forever and ever. You rule over your people with justice;

Your beauty will make the king desire you; he is your master, so you must obey him.

O God, do not take me away now before I grow old. O LORD, you live forever;

They will disappear, but you will remain; they will all wear out like clothes. You will discard them like clothes, and they will vanish.

Our children will live in safety, and under your protection their descendants will be secure.

This is the day of the LORD's victory; let us be happy, let us celebrate!

May God bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD! From the Temple of the LORD we bless you.

You are my God, and I give you thanks; I will proclaim your greatness.

Well then, the Lord himself will give you a sign: a young woman who is pregnant will have a son and will name him 'Immanuel.'

A child is born to us! A son is given to us! And he will be our ruler. He will be called, "Wonderful Counselor," "Mighty God," "Eternal Father," "Prince of Peace."

When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us."

Jerusalem, go up on a high mountain and proclaim the good news! Call out with a loud voice, Zion; announce the good news! Speak out and do not be afraid. Tell the towns of Judah that their God is coming!

He will take care of his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs together and carry them in his arms; he will gently lead their mothers.

The LORD says, "The time is coming when I will choose as king a righteous descendant of David. That king will rule wisely and do what is right and just throughout the land.

When he is king, the people of Judah will be safe, and the people of Israel will live in peace. He will be called 'The LORD Our Salvation.'

The LORD Almighty answers, "I will send my messenger to prepare the way for me. Then the Lord you are looking for will suddenly come to his Temple. The messenger you long to see will come and proclaim my covenant."

Then the disciples in the boat worshiped Jesus. "Truly you are the Son of God!" they exclaimed.

They worshiped him and went back into Jerusalem, filled with great joy,

They kept on stoning Stephen as he called out to the Lord, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!"

He knelt down and cried out in a loud voice, "Lord! Do not remember this sin against them!" He said this and died.

No one can deny how great is the secret of our religion: He appeared in human form, was shown to be right by the Spirit, and was seen by angels. He was preached among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, and was taken up to heaven.

They sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to break open its seals. For you were killed, and by your sacrificial death you bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation, and race.

Again I looked, and I heard angels, thousands and millions of them! They stood around the throne, the four living creatures, and the elders,

And I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, in the world below, and in the sea---all living beings in the universe---and they were singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb, be praise and honor, glory and might, forever and ever!"
