Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."

"Whoever welcomes you welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

You can be sure that whoever gives even a drink of cold water to one of the least of these my followers because he is my follower, will certainly receive a reward."

And whoever welcomes in my name one such child as this, welcomes me.

"If anyone should cause one of these little ones to lose his faith in me, it would be better for that person to have a large millstone tied around his neck and be drowned in the deep sea.

"See that you don't despise any of these little ones. Their angels in heaven, I tell you, are always in the presence of my Father in heaven.

In just the same way your Father in heaven does not want any of these little ones to be lost.

The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!'

The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you refused to help one of these least important ones, you refused to help me.'

"Whoever welcomes in my name one of these children, welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me, welcomes not only me but also the one who sent me."

Jesus said in a loud voice, "Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in him who sent me.

Whoever sees me sees also him who sent me.

I am telling you the truth: whoever receives anyone I send receives me also; and whoever receives me receives him who sent me."

"Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. My Father will love those who love me; I too will love them and reveal myself to them."

So then, whoever rejects this teaching is not rejecting a human being, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

I tell you," Jesus added, "John is greater than anyone who has ever lived. But the one who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John."

For those who make themselves great will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be made great."

You will eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and you will sit on thrones to rule over the twelve tribes of Israel.

No one is respected unless he is humble; arrogant people are on the way to ruin.

Jesus said to them, "You can be sure that when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne in the New Age, then you twelve followers of mine will also sit on thrones, to rule the twelve tribes of Israel.

The greatest one among you must be your servant.

Whoever makes himself great will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be made great.

Do not try to rule over those who have been put in your care, but be examples to the flock.

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the glorious crown which will never lose its brightness.

Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time.

To those who win the victory I will give the right to sit beside me on my throne, just as I have been victorious and now sit by my Father on his throne.

The city's wall was built on twelve foundation stones, on which were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
