If you are lazy, you will meet difficulty everywhere, but if you are honest, you will have no trouble.

you may be sure that the LORD your God will no longer drive these nations out as you advance. Rather, they will be as dangerous for you as a trap or a pit and as painful as a whip on your back or thorns in your eyes. And this will last until none of you are left in this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

They walk into a net, and their feet are caught;

He sends down flaming coals and burning sulfur on the wicked; he punishes them with scorching winds.

You are pure to those who are pure, but hostile to those who are wicked.

You save those who are humble, but you humble those who are proud.

Be careful what you say and protect your life. A careless talker destroys himself.

Those who are good travel a road that avoids evil; so watch where you are going---it may save your life.

Keep God's laws and you will live longer; if you ignore them, you will die.

Whoever goes to the LORD for safety, whoever remains under the protection of the Almighty,

We know that no children of God keep on sinning, for the Son of God keeps them safe, and the Evil One cannot harm them.

But you, my friends, keep on building yourselves up on your most sacred faith. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit,

and keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.
