I will remember your great deeds, LORD; I will recall the wonders you did in the past.

Praise the LORD, my soul, and do not forget how kind he is.

Do not be afraid of them; remember what the LORD your God did to the king of Egypt and to all his people.

Remember the terrible plagues that you saw with your own eyes, the miracles and wonders, and the great power and strength by which the LORD your God set you free. In the same way that he destroyed the Egyptians, he will destroy all these people that you now fear.

Remember how the LORD your God led you on this long journey through the desert these past forty years, sending hardships to test you, so that he might know what you intended to do and whether you would obey his commands.

"Think of the past, of the time long ago; ask your parents to tell you what happened, ask the old people to tell of the past.

But the LORD says, "Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago.

Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already---you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.
