"The LORD created me first of all, the first of his works, long ago.

and ordered the waters of the sea to rise no further than he said. I was there when he laid the earth's foundations.

I was beside him like an architect, I was his daily source of joy, always happy in his presence---

Have any ever mastered heavenly knowledge? Have any ever caught the wind in their hands? Or wrapped up water in a piece of cloth? Or fixed the boundaries of the earth? Who are they, if you know? Who are their children?

In the beginning, when God created the universe,

long ago you created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens.

You have set the earth firmly on its foundations, and it will never be moved.

but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son. He is the one through whom God created the universe, the one whom God has chosen to possess all things at the end.

He also said, "You, Lord, in the beginning created the earth, and with your own hands you made the heavens.
