I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you. I remember you in my prayers

I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people,

After Solomon had finished praying to the LORD, he stood up in front of the altar, where he had been kneeling with uplifted hands.

(Solomon had made a bronze platform and put it in the middle of the courtyard. It was eight feet square and five feet high. He mounted this platform, knelt down where everyone could see him, and raised his hands toward heaven.)
