But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature with all its passions and desires.

He did this to dedicate the church to God by his word, after making it clean by washing it in water,

in order to present the church to himself in all its beauty---pure and faultless, without spot or wrinkle or any other imperfection.

But now, by means of the physical death of his Son, God has made you his friends, in order to bring you, holy, pure, and faultless, into his presence.

You have come to the joyful gathering of God's first-born, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, who is the judge of all people, and to the spirits of good people made perfect.

My dear friends, we are now God's children, but it is not yet clear what we shall become. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he really is.

To him who is able to keep you from falling and to bring you faultless and joyful before his glorious presence---

They have never been known to tell lies; they are faultless.
