When Jesus said to them, "I am he," they moved back and fell to the ground.

Here we see how kind and how severe God is. He is severe toward those who have fallen, but kind to you---if you continue in his kindness. But if you do not, you too will be broken off.

Who made you superior to others? Didn't God give you everything you have? Well, then, how can you boast, as if what you have were not a gift?

But the LORD God called out to the man, "Where are you?"

'Who are you, Lord?' I asked. 'I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute,' he said to me.

All of us fell to the ground, and I heard a voice say to me in Hebrew, 'Saul, Saul! Why are you persecuting me? You are hurting yourself by hitting back, like an ox kicking against its owner's stick.'

Christ is like a single body, which has many parts; it is still one body, even though it is made up of different parts.
