If you love your life, stay away from the traps that catch the wicked along the way.

Lazy people stay at home; they say a lion might get them if they go outside.

Why don't lazy people ever get out of the house? What are they afraid of ? Lions?

All night long the people cried out in distress.

Why is the LORD taking us into that land? We will be killed in battle, and our wives and children will be captured. Wouldn't it be better to go back to Egypt?"

and said to the people, "The land we explored is an excellent land.

Do not rebel against the LORD and don't be afraid of the people who live there. We will conquer them easily. The LORD is with us and has defeated the gods who protected them; so don't be afraid."

Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.

To those with insight, it is all clear; to the well-informed, it is all plain.

LORD, I have so many enemies! Lead me to do your will; make your way plain for me to follow.

Because the LORD is righteous and good, he teaches sinners the path they should follow.

He leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will.

Those who have reverence for the LORD will learn from him the path they should follow.

Teach me, LORD, what you want me to do, and lead me along a safe path, because I have many enemies.

If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, "Here is the road. Follow it."

There will be a highway there, called "The Road of Holiness." No sinner will ever travel that road; no fools will mislead those who follow it.

The LORD says, "Let my people return to me. Remove every obstacle from their path! Build the road and make it ready!
