He and Aaron assembled the whole community in front of the rock, and Moses said, "Listen, you rebels! Do we have to get water out of this rock for you?"

Then Moses raised the stick and struck the rock twice with it, and a great stream of water gushed out, and all the people and animals drank.

I said, "I will be careful about what I do and will not let my tongue make me sin; I will not say anything while evil people are near."

LORD, place a guard at my mouth, a sentry at the door of my lips.

But Rachel had not borne Jacob any children, and so she became jealous of her sister and said to Jacob, "Give me children, or I will die."

Job answered, "You are talking nonsense! When God sends us something good, we welcome it. How can we complain when he sends us trouble?" Even in all this suffering Job said nothing against God.

Who are you to question my wisdom with your ignorant, empty words?

I have already said more than I should.

After the LORD had finished speaking to Job, he said to Eliphaz, "I am angry with you and your two friends, because you did not speak the truth about me, the way my servant Job did.

Now take seven bulls and seven rams to Job and offer them as a sacrifice for yourselves. Job will pray for you, and I will answer his prayer and not disgrace you the way you deserve. You did not speak the truth about me as he did."

All of us often make mistakes. But if a person never makes a mistake in what he says, he is perfect and is also able to control his whole being.
