God Bless You, Bro. Jed

Sept. 18, 2008, University of Wisconsin, Madison:

Luke, a graduate student who remembered me from Ohio State in the late eighties, then years later at Colorado State, stopped to converse with me.  He said, “I found your teaching sessions more interesting than my classes during my undergraduate years.  I met a lot of interesting people who would gather to hear you.  However, I am confused concerning religious questions.  But Brother Jed I really appreciate your integrity.  I still have an autographed copy of Who Will Rise Up?, which you gave me years ago.”

Later, a grey haired mustached gentleman stopped a moment and said, I heard you thirty years ago when I was a student on this campus.”  He grasped my hand and said, “God bless you.”  I thought to myself, “I know that I am getting old; but he looks older than me.”

Saved from Death!

In 2009 we received an email from John C. who was converted when I preached at the University of Texas 28 salvation at UTyears ago.  He still reads the Bible that I gave him when he was born again.  The hell-fire preaching got John’s attention, but like all of us, he had to also see that his sins had hurt and grieved God and that only faith in Jesus could bring a right relationship. He had to decide to love and glorify the Almighty who is worthy.  I am glad that he made that choice and has stuck with it.  John and Kathy are pictured above giving their testimonies to fellow students at UT in 1981.  I am in the center. John said that all of his "friends" from high school and college are deceased.

Mocker Converted!

Summer 2012

Mr. Smock,

You may not remember me, but I listened and mocked you and made fun of you when you were preaching.  I wanted to say that I am sorry and I pray that you can forgive me.  Because of you, I started to read the bible and accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.   This Christian walk will be difficult so I ask that you pray for me as I begin on my journey; my quest for knowledge for God.  Best of love to you and your family!  You will be in my prayers.  Bud J.

Bud had heard Bro. Jed as an undergraduate at Central Missouri State and then a graduate student at the University of Missouri.

Word From Bro. Jed

  • Get Angry Church

Since November 3, we have heard from fake news of President Trump “ranting and raging” in the WH. They say that he is “unhinged” and “losing his mind,” etc, etc. These are based on “anonymous...
