I doubt you will remember me, as I was an OSU student somewhere around 1985 the last time we spoke. But I remember you well…I want to express my deep gratitude to you for your clear testimony of faith, and for a sermon you preached that impacted me greatly. It was about surveying the wondrous cross. I still think of it often. In fact, because of your ministry to me that song "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" has continued to be one of my favorites.  It was your daughter's name Evangeline that caught my attention when I saw it on facebook and I vaguely recalled that you had a little baby soon thereafter (I think) named such. Just wanted to let you know that you touched my life profoundly way back then and the ripple effects of my fresh encounter with God under your ministry still continue.
