Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well, the devils also believe and tremble (James 2:19).
Christianity and Islam hold a common belief in Angels. According to Muslims, the Koran was revealed to Muhammad through the Archangel, Gabriel. In the Old Testament Gabriel appears unto Daniel giving him a revelation concerning the last days. In the New Testament Gabriel appears unto the virgin, Mary, and announces, “Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:30-35)”
The Koran’s account of the annunciation to Mary also affirms the virgin birth of Jesus: Surah 3:45-47: “Behold!the angels said: "O Mary! Allah gives the glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah; “He shall speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity. And he shall be (of the company) of the righteous." She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah creates what He wills: When He hath decreed a plan, He but says to it, 'Be,' and it is!”
Muslims put on a good front in honoring, respecting and revering Jesus. But the Koran is adamant in teaching that Jesus was merely a human prophet and not the Son of God, despite the uniqueness of his birth. The Koran 6:101 recites that God could not have a Son since he has no wife: “Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things?”
