Let's give example.

If a man, in anger or worse, in a calculated self-justified manner, hits his wife or to leave his small children unattended, he currently reaps the consequences of his actions.

If that man loves Jesus, he will repent and cherish his wife like Christ cherishes his Bride. He will also submit to the governing authorities to take special care of his children, rather than going to a movie or some other entertaining venue that wets his fleshly appetites. That is if the Lord shows him mercy AGAIN.

The fruit of the Spirit is kindness and self control.

Daniel, when will your family be allowed back with you? Have you "adjusted your lifestyle to fit" what's righteous yet?
