A little update on the reality show. After taping many hours of preaching, I have identified several shortcomings of my original plan. Not the least of which is that when I am preaching, there is no one to tape me. I really need to have three cameras to do this justice, plus much better mics. The mics I have cut out when the volume goes to high, and that is often in a preaching situation. Then my camera broke. I reassessed my plan and made a couple of modifications.

I spoke with one John More, who about 10 years ago did a 2 hour documentary on Jed, and also did a 30 minute short. He has a production company and does professional quality movies for industry and doctors and such. He tried several times to pitch a show off of what he had already done, but that was 10 years ago. Then along came reality TV which thrives on conflict. Now he agrees the time may be right.

I emailed hime and told him of the opportunity that the Lord has opened before me. He was extremely excited to hear from me, and after a very long discussion, we agreed to take it before the Lord to approach the problem another way. I am going to put together an appeal DVD laying out the mission of our ministry, the prophetic signs of our times, and the need for a show that will entertain but also inform the church of the times we are in. Then we will send the DVD to everybody we can identify as friendly, and seek out a group of Christians to invest the funds necessary to produce the show with professional standards. to get started, John has agreed to let me send his 2 1/2 hours of programming to our outlets as a pilot.

In the meantime, I am going to fix my camera, and continue to build a library of footage to use to edit into the show. I am learning as I look at my own footage. I am going to invest in some much better wireless mics and may a couple of pointy mics or parabolic mics.

The preaching has been going very well. I had some break throughs with one of our primary hecklers at Mizzou today. I believe that tomorrow, I will win him over to our method and message. Pray for Abraham. He is zealous for God, but without sound doctrine. He keeps insisting that we will forever be sinners, and rejects the idea that a Christian can be victorious over sin.

The first week of taping had its up and downs. First I have had to learn the equipment all over again. The microphones were inadequate, so I had to buy a couple more. Several times I taped, but forgot to turn on the mikes. Those segments were lost. But I am learning how to do this as I go.

I have plans to set up a meeting at Mizzou where we will invite Christians to sit in on a defense and explanation meeting where we will explain to the students (and pastors if possible) the dynamics of the confrontational approach to preaching. I am looking for the Lord to give me a student who will volunteer to help set up this meeting.

In the meeting, I will announce that the meeting is being taped for the pilot of a Reality TV Show, and to invite them to voice their opinions and objections, in an orderly fashion. The preachers will be giving a defense and answering questions. If the answers are not adequately answered then, we will tape a followup session with the preachers to fully explain or answer a question.

Greetings to all that frequent this BB. I have something very interesting to announce. First off, I want to thank those who responded to my first appeal for support. At this time, I plan on going on the road in 5 weeks. Until then there are some things I need to put to bed. More on this later.

For those who have not contacted me to pledge support but who have benefitted from this board, I have given freely to you for decades overseeing this board. Now is the time for me to receive from you.

Now for the announcement and the reason for this second appeal for support. While at Evangelines wedding, I had the opportunity to speak to the board of directors of the Campus Ministry, USA. They have unanamously agreed that I should do the following under the auspices of the CMUSA.

I have been asked to produce a reality TV show centered around street and campus preaching. At this time I have two outlets, one a free standing TV station, and the other a 24/7 webcase. After that, we have discussed syndication.

There have been many documentaries done on us, but they have usually been from the standpoint of the world. What I was asked to produce is a reality TV Show from the perspective of the preachers. I have discussed 7 different formats. There will be more.

(1) Straight preaching footage
(2) Preaching segments with biblical explanations of what the viewer is seeing
(3) Interviews with students followed by studio interviews with the preachers who will have time to explain and defend.
(4) Footage of preachers home lives.
(5) Footage showing interference with authorities
(6) Interviews with one or more lawyers concering our legal rights.
(7) Question and answer shows with students.

If any of you have suggestions, please let me know. Also, at this point, we do not have a name for the show, so if any of you would like to make a suggestion, feel free.

I have donated about $5,000 in production equipment, computer equipment, and software to this undertaking. At this time, I plan on doing all the taping, editing, and distribution. I would also appreciate any donations of high quality digital footage from any of you preachers that would like to contribute.

I need partners in this. Those who would like to become a partner in this endeavor by pledging support will receive a subscription to every show produced on DVD. Individual shows will be made available on our website for a donation.

The startup expenses I have already covered, but the operating expenses I still need people to pledge support to cover.

This is just the first of several planned expansions of the CMUSA. Those who can preach, the time is here for you to break out of your shell and preach. For those who can't preach, do whatever you can. The needs of this ministry, like all the other preachers, are covered by the faithful few who join in the effort by giving. Please consider again my request for support. Only this time, consider the wide open door set out before us. Help me to take the campus preaching to a massive virtual campus.
