I, John, solemnly warn everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: if any add anything to them, God will add to their punishment the plagues described in this book.

"Listen!" says Jesus. "I am coming soon! Happy are those who obey the prophetic words in this book!"

And he said to me, "Do not keep the prophetic words of this book a secret, because the time is near when all this will happen.

"Listen!" says Jesus. "I am coming soon! I will bring my rewards with me, to give to each one according to what he has done.

I am the living one! I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I have authority over death and the world of the dead.

Come to me, my lover, like a gazelle, like a young stag on the mountains where spices grow.

When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us."

Now, there are many other things that Jesus did. If they were all written down one by one, I suppose that the whole world could not hold the books that would be written.

And now there is waiting for me the victory prize of being put right with God, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on that Day---and not only to me, but to all those who wait with love for him to appear.

In the same manner Christ also was offered in sacrifice once to take away the sins of many. He will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are waiting for him.

as you wait for the Day of God and do your best to make it come soon---the Day when the heavens will burn up and be destroyed, and the heavenly bodies will be melted by the heat.

And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God's sight and to be at peace with him.
