When Jesus saw how much faith they had, he said to the man, "Your sins are forgiven, my friend."

After a little while a man noticed Peter and said, "You are one of them, too!" But Peter answered, "Man, I am not!"

Do you, my friend, pass judgment on others? You have no excuse at all, whoever you are. For when you judge others and then do the same things which they do, you condemn yourself.

But you, my friend, do those very things for which you pass judgment on others! Do you think you will escape God's judgment?

But who are you, my friend, to talk back to God? A clay pot does not ask the man who made it, "Why did you make me like this?"

The man answered, "Who made you our ruler and judge? Are you going to kill me just as you killed that Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said to himself, "People have found out what I have done."

Jesus knew that they were about to come and seize him in order to make him king by force; so he went off again to the hills by himself.

"No one, sir," she answered. "Well, then," Jesus said, "I do not condemn you either. Go, but do not sin again."]

Pilate replied, "Do you think I am a Jew? It was your own people and the chief priests who handed you over to me. What have you done?"

Jesus said, "My kingdom does not belong to this world; if my kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish authorities. No, my kingdom does not belong here!"
