John will be great in the Lord's sight. He must not drink any wine or strong drink. From his very birth he will be filled with the Holy Spirit,

For as soon as I heard your greeting, the baby within me jumped with gladness.

She was going to have twins, and before they were born, they struggled against each other in her womb. She said, "Why should something like this happen to me?" So she went to ask the LORD for an answer.

Do not get drunk with wine, which will only ruin you; instead, be filled with the Spirit.
