Good people suffer many troubles, but the LORD saves them from them all;

May the angel, who has rescued me from all harm, bless them! May my name and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac live on through these boys! May they have many children, many descendants!"

Just as I have spared your life today, may the LORD do the same to me and free me from all troubles!"

David answered them, "I take a vow by the living LORD, who has saved me from all dangers!

Put your hope in the LORD and obey his commands; he will honor you by giving you the land, and you will see the wicked driven out.

The righteous will be glad when they see sinners punished; they will wade through the blood of the wicked.

People will say, "The righteous are indeed rewarded; there is indeed a God who judges the world."

My God loves me and will come to me; he will let me see my enemies defeated.

You will look and see how the wicked are punished.

I have seen the defeat of my enemies and heard the cries of the wicked.

He is not worried or afraid; he is certain to see his enemies defeated.
