Now it's your turn to be in trouble, and you are too stunned to face it.

You worshiped God, and your life was blameless; and so you should have confidence and hope.

In trouble like this I need loyal friends--- whether I've forsaken God or not.

Sin speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; they reject God and do not have reverence for him.

Their speech is wicked and full of lies; they no longer do what is wise and good.

LORD, it is time for you to act, because people are disobeying your law.

I will destroy those who have turned back and no longer follow me, those who do not come to me or ask me to guide them."

Does this mean that by this faith we do away with the Law? No, not at all; instead, we uphold the Law.

I refuse to reject the grace of God. But if a person is put right with God through the Law, it means that Christ died for nothing!

If I were you, I would turn to God and present my case to him.

They should have desired the joy he gives; they should have constantly prayed to him.

Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD. He disobeyed the LORD's commands; he tried to find guidance by consulting the spirits of the dead

instead of consulting the LORD. So the LORD killed him and gave control of the kingdom to David son of Jesse.

They have not prayed to me sincerely, but instead they throw themselves down and wail as the heathen do. When they pray for grain and wine, they gash themselves like pagans. What rebels they are!

The dead man's relative, the one in charge of the funeral, will take the body out of the house. The relative will call to whoever is still left in the house, "Is anyone else there with you?" The person will answer, "No!" Then the relative will say, "Be quiet! We must be careful not even to mention the LORD's name."

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged.
