I want someone to plead with God for me, as one pleads for a friend.

I would state my case before him and present all the arguments in my favor.

How can anyone argue with him? He can ask a thousand questions that no one could ever answer.

I am innocent and faithful, but my words sound guilty, and everything I say seems to condemn me.

Are you trying to prove that I am unjust--- to put me in the wrong and yourself in the right?

"Let us go to court; bring your accusation! Present your case to prove you are in the right!

Who will accuse God's chosen people? God himself declares them not guilty!

Who, then, will condemn them? Not Christ Jesus, who died, or rather, who was raised to life and is at the right side of God, pleading with him for us!

We are proud that our conscience assures us that our lives in this world, and especially our relations with you, have been ruled by God-given frankness and sincerity, by the power of God's grace and not by human wisdom.
