I will give you wisdom and knowledge. And in addition, I will give you more wealth, treasure, and fame than any king has ever had before or will ever have again."

I will do what you have asked. I will give you more wisdom and understanding than anyone has ever had before or will ever have again.

I will also give you what you have not asked for: all your life you will have wealth and honor, more than that of any other king.

Solomon was wiser than the wise men of the East or the wise men of Egypt.

He was the wisest of all men: wiser than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, Calcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol, and his fame spread throughout all the neighboring countries.

King Solomon was richer and wiser than any other king,

and the whole world wanted to come and listen to the wisdom that God had given him.

I will make him my first-born son, the greatest of all kings.

On the Judgment Day the Queen of Sheba will stand up and accuse you, because she traveled all the way from her country to listen to King Solomon's wise teaching; and I assure you that there is something here greater than Solomon!

I do this in order that they may be filled with courage and may be drawn together in love, and so have the full wealth of assurance which true understanding brings. In this way they will know God's secret, which is Christ himself.

He is the key that opens all the hidden treasures of God's wisdom and knowledge.
