How I pray that victory will come to Israel from Zion. How happy the people of Israel will be when the LORD makes them prosperous again!

Remember, O LORD, your kindness and constant love which you have shown from long ago.

I waited patiently for the LORD's help; then he listened to me and heard my cry.

I wait patiently for God to save me; I depend on him alone.

I depend on God alone; I put my hope in him.

Show us your constant love, O LORD, and give us your saving help.

Show me how much you love me, LORD, and save me according to your promise.

I wait for you to save me, LORD, and I do what you command.

How I long for your saving help, O LORD! I find happiness in your law.

As a servant depends on his master, as a maid depends on her mistress, so we will keep looking to you, O LORD our God, until you have mercy on us.

I wait eagerly for the LORD's help, and in his word I trust.

The LORD has hidden himself from his people, but I trust him and place my hope in him.

When it happens, everyone will say, "He is our God! We have put our trust in him, and he has rescued us. He is the LORD! We have put our trust in him, and now we are happy and joyful because he has saved us."

I will make a bargain with you in the name of the emperor. I will give you two thousand horses if you can find that many riders.

And yet the LORD is waiting to be merciful to you. He is ready to take pity on you because he always does what is right. Happy are those who put their trust in the LORD.

LORD, have mercy on us. We have put our hope in you. Protect us day by day and save us in times of trouble.

The LORD is good to everyone who trusts in him,

But I will watch for the LORD; I will wait confidently for God, who will save me. My God will hear me.

She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus---because he will save his people from their sins."

The angel said to her, "Don't be afraid, Mary; God has been gracious to you.

At that time there was a man named Simeon living in Jerusalem. He was a good, God-fearing man and was waiting for Israel to be saved. The Holy Spirit was with him

With my own eyes I have seen your salvation,

(SEE 23:50)

All of creation waits with eager longing for God to reveal his children.

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

As for us, our hope is that God will put us right with him; and this is what we wait for by the power of God's Spirit working through our faith.

and to wait for his Son to come from heaven---his Son Jesus, whom he raised from death and who rescues us from God's anger that is coming.
